SPECIAL WASHINGTON STATE RULES: See Items of Interest
NEW FOR 2007:
- Batting - May bat up to 12 players.
- Bases - 65' to 70' base paths will be used.
- Home Runs - Do not have to run home runs out (over the fence home runs).
- New floating rubber - Pitching rule is now 6' maximum behind the pitching rubber. (National Rule).
- New “BOUNTY’” format in selected tournaments (See website for details).
- Illegal/Altered Bat : If a batter hits the ball with an illegal or altered bat, the batter may be suspended from further USSSA play. (See National Rule Book, Rule 7, Section 2B). USSSA Washington will enforce the National USSSA By-Laws.

CLASSIFICATION:
- The program will be made of teams classified as A, B+,
B, C+, C, D+, D,
E, and REC.
- Teams classified as B+ will play as an A team, unlimited
home runs allowed. (Washington State only)
- Teams classified as C+ will play as a B team, unlimited
home runs allowed. (Washington State only)
- Class C and 'D+' teams are allowed three home runs per team
per game.
- Class D teams are allowed one home run per team
per game. (Washington State only)
- Class E & REC teams, no home runs allowed. (Washington
State only)
TOURNAMENT POLICY:
- All teams must submit a USSSA Tournament Roster upon entering each
sanctioned tournament.
- All Youth slow pitch teams, participating in the Womens tournaments,
will be classified on a per team basis as agreed to by the Youth and
Womens Program Directors and the Youth team must register as a
Womens team.
- No berths will be awarded to a tournament with less than six
teams, unless approved by the Program Director.
- If a tournament director changes the format of a tournament to an
equalizer, teams must be notified and given the chance to agree or withdraw
from the tournament without penalty.
- If a run rule is used, the same rule will apply from the first game
through and including the championship games.
- If a tournament is to be run with a round-robin format, teams
must be notified in advance and give the chance to agree to or
withdraw from the tournament without penalty.
QUALIFYING FOR STATE, NATIONAL & WORLD
TOURNAMENTS:
- Teams must participate in at least three USSSA events. (League
and tournaments count as one event each).
- Teams participating in a USSSA sanctioned League will receive ten bonus points.
- Teams that have been awarded a berth to a World tournament
are required to participate in the State Championship and National Tournament.
- Seeding in State Tournaments will be determined by "highest
points earned".
- The draw for all State Tournaments will be held seven days before
the event.
