USSSA Men's 'FALL' Program for 2008

USSSA Fall Men's Program & Tournament Information

SPECIAL RULES: All guidelines pertaining to the Men’s Program will be followed, with the following exceptions:

  1. All teams will be classified as ‘D’, ‘E’ or ‘REC’. The highest class you have 3 or more players from will be your classification. Teams from the summer season will not be reclassified down for the fall season. Teams may be reclassified up for the fall season.
  2. All teams will be allowed to pick up a maximum of two (2) players that played no more than one class higher during the regular season.
  3. Teams must participate in at least one (1) tournament after Labor Day weekend that has the name Fall Qualifier in the name of the tournament to be eligible to participate in the Championship Tournament.
  4. A team may enter the Fall Championship once it becomes eligible. Eligible means paid and playing in at least one Fall Qualifier tournament. There is a limited amount of space in the Fall Championship. First teams paid for the Fall Championship once they become eligible will be the teams to play in the Fall Championship.
  5. Teams will receive points for this program in the same manner that thepoints for the regular season are earned. Only tournaments after Labor Day weekend will be counted. Teams playing in more than three (3) tournaments after Labor Day will retain all points that they earned in all tournaments.
  6. Seeding into the Fall Championships will be decided solely on the amount of points a team has earned.
  7. A team may bat the entire line-up if it chooses, however, the same injury and ejection rule that is in place the rest of the year will be used.
  8. All tournaments will be a minimum of three-game-guarantee (3GG), with the option of what format will be used left to the discretion of the tournament director. The Fall Championships (October 11-12) in all classes will be run as a three game guarantee, double elimination bracket format.
  9. Final roster additions must be in the State Office by October 8th, 5:00 p.m. via either mail or fax. A team may only add two (2) players to the roster of the last Fall tournament they played in.
  10. All Fall Program teams must fill out a special Fall Program roster. Player's name, the name of the team, and the classification of the team each player last played for in the regular season before state tournaments for 2008. Any players caught putting down false information or playing illegally may be suspended from the USSSA Fall Program this year and the Summer Program the following year.
  11. Any team winning two (2) tournaments may be told they must play at a higher class for the Fall Championships. If a team is determined to be too good for the highest class offered, there is a possibility they will not be allowed to participate in the Fall Championships.
  12. Players may make only one roster move. Players may not return to the roster they left.
  13. Players may only play in one tournament and for one team on any of the Fall tournament weekends. Players caught playing for more than one team will be suspended from the Fall program and may be suspended for the following year.
  14. D/E & Rec. tournaments: On a DBO HR - no run for the other team on fields with 285’ fences or less: The tournament director will supply one new and one back up ball to start each game. The rest of the back up balls will be supplied by the team losing the balls for whatever reason. (This rule includes the Fall Championships).
  15. If a team breaks up during the summer season and the players from that team join lower class teams; those players cannot reunite back together and play the Fall Program at the lower class. Three (3) or more players. They must play the higher class at which they started the 2008 season.
  16. USSSA Washington State reserves the right to use the Fall Program to try any new rule.
