Robert “Bobby” Long, Executive/Director Category
Bobby started as an Area Director for USSSA in 1985. He promoted USSSA in the Tri-Cities and
Yakima area by hosting tournaments starting in 1986. He was appointed to the Executive Board in 1988 and to the Executive Committee in 1989. He is the recipient of the “Owen B. Shackett” award in 1990, the State Director’s award in 1993 and was appointed as Special Assistant to the State Director in 1998. |

Craig Cogger, Male Player Category
Craig has played USSSA upper level softball for 10 years. He has a career batting average of .650, an excess of 800 home runs and was a member of the 1984 USSSA World ‘A’ Championship team, Price Enterprises. Craig was primarily an outfielder with exceptional range and an accurate throwing arm. Craig was one of the major impact players in
Washington during his entire career and has numerous national, regional and state MVP’s and All Star Awards. Craig was on the National and State Major Player’s list for most of his career. |

Alba Mallory, Male Player Category
Al played USSSA upper level ball since 1985. He played with Price Enterprises, Marlton Enterprises, Coastal and Pacific Blues. He played left field and left center field for most of his career. He has a lifetime batting average of .650 and over 700 home runs. He was USSSA ‘A’ State Player of the Year and has received several national, regional and state All Star Awards. Al has been on the National Players list numerous years and remains an upper level impact player. |

Ron Zafino/Score board Pub, Sponsor Category
Ron has been the owner of the Scoreboard Pub for over 17 years. During this time he has sponsored 3 to 5 softball teams each year. He has been the proud sponsor of Men’s ‘B’ or ‘A’ team for the majority of the time. He has been a USSSA tournament director since 1984 and is highly respected by all teams that play in his tournaments for his attention to detail and the class associated with his events. Through Ron’s efforts, along with others, USSSA has obtained the rights to the new
Celebration
Park for many of the most prestigious week-end tournaments seasons. Ron stays active in his community in any way asked of him and continues each year to offer suggestions and support to USSSA in his efforts to make softball the very best that it can be, for both the players and the teams. |

Dennis “Woody” Woodard, Special Category
Woody was one of the founding members of
USSSA
Washington
State. In 1982, he helped write the original by-laws of
USSSA
Washington
State and he was instrumental in establishing our playing rules, our point’s system and our early classification system. He served as the Assistant State Director in 1983 and 1984 and was one of the original Executive Board members. During this time, while the State Office was simply a corner of a room in his home, he helped establish the means for funding this association through tournament fees. Dennis served as an area director and ran tournaments from 1982 though 1985, including State Tournaments. One of his proudest achievements for USSSA was obtaining the Men’s ‘C’ Western Regional Tournament in 1983 and serving as Tournament Director |

Ruth "Tutti" Compton , Female Player Category
Ruth “Tutti” Compton has been involved in softball for over twenty years. She has played, coached, managed and umpired throughout her career and always exhibited a zeal for the game and a true passion for the sport. Tutti began her adult softball as a fine shortstop with a heavy bat. Not only a top flight defensive player with good range and strong arm, her bat commanded true respect from the opposing team. A strong leader defensively and offensively as well as in the dugout, Tutti always had the respect of her teammates as well as her competitors. Over the years, Tutti gravitated to the pitcher’s mound where she has dominated opposing batters. An all-star many times over as well as MVP at state on multiple occasions, her abilities have been recognized and rewarded. |
