TOURNAMENT POINTS SYSTEM
*Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, and Church Programs*

How Points Are Calculated:

Number of teams in the tournament times 2 for first place points, and then subtract two points for every drop in the placing.  Example-In a 12-team tournament:

1st place--24 points, 2nd place--22 points, 3rd place--20 points, 4th place--18 Points, 5th place--16 points, 7th place--12 points, 9th place--8 points.

Exceptions:

Mixed--Double Points will be offered to lower classification teams in equalizer tournaments.

Church--See program information located in the Church section.

Women's--NIT's will award 125% of points earned for participation.

Men's--NIT's will award 125% of points earned for participation.  

All Programs:

Teams playing in a USSSA sanctioned league will receive 10 bonus points (added to their overall point total).

Total Points:

A teams final point total will include the top three point totals from tournament play, plus 2 points for every tournament over three, plus the 10 bonus points for playing in a USSSA league.

SEEDING INTO THE STATE TOURNAMENTS WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE NUMBER OF POINTS THAT HAVE BEEN EARNED THROUGHOUT THE SEASON.  POINTS THAT HAVE BEEN EARNED FROM STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE ADDED TO THE OVERALL POINTS STANDINGS FOR THE YEAR.
